On Monday, October 3, 2016, in Juarez-Lincoln High School we manifested our fight against Bullying by wearing blue. We decided to interview Mrs.Martinez (one of the several counselors here) and asked her a few questions.
One question was, why is the anti-bullying week so important? To which she replied, “It means Students voices are being heard, that they're not alone they have people to help them,” A valuable tip Mrs. Martinez is giving to anyone who is being bullied is, “To Understand that they're not alone there are people that care like; teachers, students and us the counselors.”
When asked, how do you think we can stop bullying? Her response was “Bullying is never going to stop but we can prevent more victims... we need to stop being bystanders and speak up.”
